Request Limit Exceeded
[REQUEST_LIMIT_EXCEEDED] TotalRequests Limit exceeded
Symptom
RingDNA and other Salesforce integrations stop working or fail to sign in, and you see an error containing REQUEST_LIMIT_EXCEEDED or TotalRequests Limit exceeded.
Cause
Your Salesforce org has exceeded its daily API request limit. Salesforce enforces a rolling 24-hour cap on the total number of API calls an org can make across all connected applications. When that ceiling is hit, every external integration — including RingDNA — is blocked from exchanging data with Salesforce until the count resets.
Troubleshooting
Check your current usage. Sign in to Salesforce and go to Setup > Company Profile > Company Information. Look for API Requests, Last 24 Hours to see how close you are to the limit.
Wait for the limit to reset. Salesforce’s counter resets on a rolling 24-hour basis. Normal operations resume automatically once the org drops back below the cap.
Request a temporary limit increase. Your Salesforce account representative can temporarily raise your org’s API request limit. This is a Salesforce account-level change — contact Salesforce directly, as Revenue.io Support cannot make this change.
Identify high-usage integrations. If this limit is a recurring issue, ask your Salesforce administrator to audit which integrations or automations consume the most API calls. Reducing unnecessary requests can prevent the issue from recurring. See Monitor Your Salesforce API Usage for step-by-step instructions.
