DTMF support
DTMF (Dual-Tone Multi-Frequency) signaling uses RFC 2833 format and is supported for both inbound and outbound calls.
Emergency services
Calls to emergency services numbers in Romania are not supported. Do not rely on voice calling for emergency service access.
Special requirements
Outbound calls in Romania are restricted to carrier-owned numbers due to ANCOM regulatory requirements targeting caller ID spoofing and fraud prevention. Ensure that any Romania numbers used by the “Outbound Numbers” setting or toll-free calls are carrier-provisioned numbers assigned to your account.
Compliance note
These guidelines summarize carrier requirements at the time of publication and do not constitute legal counsel. Verify that your implementation complies with all applicable telecommunications regulations in Romania.
