Best practices
Under the German Telecommunications Act (TKG), the following requirements apply to national numbers:
- Inform callers in advance that charges may apply (maximum €0.09 per minute).
- Display any required disclaimers alongside the number.
- Do not use national numbers for customer hold lines or waiting loops, as this is prohibited.
