French mobile number restrictions: French mobile numbers are restricted to person-to-person (P2P) communication only. Carriers may block concurrent calls originating from the same mobile number. For use cases requiring multiple simultaneous outbound calls, geographic or national number types are recommended instead of mobile numbers.

Emergency services calling is supported in France.
Special requirements
Telemarketing regulations: A new telemarketing law takes effect August 11, 2026. Key requirements include:
- Explicit consumer consent is required before placing marketing calls.
- Permitted calling windows are Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. and 2:00–8:00 p.m. local time only.
- An exception applies for calls made under an existing contract.
Energy efficiency services: From July 1, 2025, organizations are prohibited from contacting customers by telephone for the purpose of promoting energy efficiency services related to housing.
