Amazon S3
By default, Revenue.io stores your call recordings for you. Some organizations need to manage that data themselves, often because of their own compliance requirements. For those organizations, Revenue.io supports storing call recordings in an Amazon S3 bucket that you own and control.
How it works
Once the integration is configured, the recording lifecycle changes as follows:
- Revenue.io creates and processes a call recording as usual.
- When processing is finished, Revenue.io transfers the recording to your S3 bucket.
- Every later read of that recording, such as playback for review and coaching in the Admin Console and the Conversation AI coaching platform, comes from your bucket.
After the transfer, your S3 bucket is the home of your call recordings. Because you own the bucket, you decide how the data is secured, retained, and audited.
Access to your bucket
Revenue.io accesses your bucket through an IAM role in your AWS account and AWS STS AssumeRole. You define the permissions on the role, limit it to your recording bucket, and can revoke access at any time by disabling or editing the role. Revenue.io never holds long-lived permissions on your bucket.
Get started
To configure the integration, follow the steps in Transfer call recordings to an S3 bucket. When your bucket and IAM role are ready, email the requested details, along with any questions, to compliance@revenue.io to complete the setup.
