Edit Conversation Record Activities

Overview

Keeping your CRM data up to date shouldn't require extra steps.

Users can edit the details of a task or event activity directly from within a conversation record in Revenue. This makes it easier to keep your activities accurate and up to date without switching between systems. Whether you're adjusting the title, updating details, or correcting associated records, you can do it all in one place.

Why Activity Editing Matters

  • Maintain accurate records by updating activity details in context
  • Ensure conversation titles reflect the latest information from your sales process
  • Save time by editing directly in Revenue instead of jumping into Salesforce
  • Improve CRM hygiene and reporting accuracy by correcting metadata on the fly

Who Can Use It

This feature is available to users who have access to view and edit activities associated with conversation records in Revenue. Field visibility and editability are based on the user’s Salesforce profile configuration.

How It Works: Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Navigate to the Conversation Record
From any conversation view, scroll to the Activity section where task or event activities are listed.

Step 2: Select the Edit Option
Next to the activity you want to update, click the edit icon. This will open an inline form.

Step 3: Edit the Activity Fields
You will see a form showing the activity’s editable fields, based on your permissions. This includes standard fields such as subject, date, status, and the whoId (associated contact or lead) and whatId (associated object like an opportunity or account).

Step 4: Save Changes
Once you make a change, a Save option will appear. This allows you to confirm only when actual changes have been made to the existing data.

Step 5: View Updated Details
If you update the subject field, the title of the associated conversation will automatically reflect your changes. The updated activity will be visible immediately in Revenue and synced back to Salesforce.

What’s Editable

All editable fields are determined by your Salesforce profile configuration. The form will render only the fields you’re allowed to view and edit. Field types are respected (e.g., dropdowns, date pickers, lookup fields) for a seamless editing experience.
