With Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) functionality, our aim is to make sales communication even more impactful and engaging for you.
MMS allows sales professionals to seamlessly incorporate images, documents, and other multimedia elements into interactions with leads and contacts. Imagine being able to send a quick snapshot of a product or a PDF brochure directly within your messages – it adds a whole new level of effectiveness to your sales conversations.
In today's sales world, where visual communication is key, not being able to send MMS messages can really limit the impact of your interactions. With multimedia content at your fingertips, you'll be able to boost engagement, convey information more effectively, and ultimately create a more compelling sales process.

Limitations for international numbers
Currently, the capability to send MMS files is available exclusively to RingDNA users who have selected US 🇺🇸 or Canadian 🇨🇦 numbers as their outbound number. Users with international (non-US/CA) numbers are not able to send MMS files to recipients in other countries. MMS files sent from numbers in countries other than the US or Canada will not be delivered to the recipient.
When MMS files are sent from US 🇺🇸 or Canadian 🇨🇦 numbers to international recipients, these recipients will be provided with a URL to access the MMS file. It's important to understand that, in some instances, the sender ID displayed to the recipient of an MMS message may be different from the sender's assigned number. This discrepancy arises from the need to comply with international messaging regulations and carrier practices. For detailed information on this subject, please consult the article Understanding Sender ID Changes for International Messaging for details.

MMS Message Size Limitations (for non-image messages)
Per our telephony partner, Twilio:
For file types other than jpeg, png and gif, the total file size limit for MediaUrl attachments depends on the receiving carrier. Here are the attachment size limitations for MMS sent from either long code or short code numbers to the top 4 US-based carriers:
Carrier | Long code MMS attachment size | Toll-Free MMS attachment size | Short code MMS attachment size |
AT&T* | 1.0 MB | 0.6 MB | 0.6 MB |
Sprint | 1.5 MB | 0.6 MB | 1.0 MB |
T-mobile | 1.5 MB | 0.6 MB | 1.0 MB |
Verizon | 1.0 MB | 0.6 MB | 1.2 MB |
*We recommend 600KB when sending over AT&T from Long Code to avoid the potential of file resize failures occurring at the carrier partner's network.
