Standalone Emails

An email can be sent outside of a sequence by navigating to a Lead or Contact profile page and clicking the Send Email tab. This allows you to send standalone emails that are not part of a sequence workflow.
Send a standalone email
Navigate to Lead or Contact Record
- Navigate to the Lead or Contact profile page in Salesforce
- Scroll to the Guided Selling component
- Click the “Send Email” tab
Compose Your Email
- Enter a subject for your email
- Compose the email body using the Rich Text Editor
- You can use:
- Merge Fields: Insert dynamic fields that will be populated from the Lead or Contact record
- Snippets: Insert pre-written content blocks
- Formatting: Use the Rich Text Editor formatting options
- Optionally add Cc and Bcc recipients
Send the Email
- Review your email content
- Click Send to dispatch the email
Email Requirements
For the “Send” button to be available:
- The Lead or Contact must have their email field populated
- The Lead/Contact’s “Email Opt Out” field (
HasOptedOutOfEmail) should be unchecked - Your email account must be connected
Email Tracking
Upon sending an email, a Conversation record is created, which includes a Lookup field linking to the respective Lead or Contact.
The created Conversation record tracks various metrics, including:
- Email Sent
- Email Sent Date
- Email Opened
- Email Opened Date
- Email Replied
- Email Replied Date
- Email Replies
Use Cases
Standalone emails are useful for:
- Responding to specific inquiries
- Sending personalized messages outside of sequences
- Following up on ad-hoc requests
- Sending time-sensitive information
- Custom communications that don’t fit standard sequences
