Quick actions let you add one-off actions to a Lead or Contact in Salesforce, and those actions appear on your Engage tab when they are due.

You can use quick actions whether or not the person is enrolled in a sequence. They are useful when you need a reminder while the next scheduled action for that person is still days or weeks away, or when you want to follow up with one-off work and a full sequence would be unnecessary.

Supported Action Types

Quick actions support all action types, with the following capabilities.

Action typeCapabilities
CallAdds a call to Engage at a scheduled time.
SMSAdds a message to Engage at a scheduled time.
EmailAdds an email to Engage at a scheduled time. You must specify the Email Subject and Body. You can select an Email Template. Note: If you want to send an email now instead of scheduling it for later, use the Send Email button.
TaskAdds a task to Engage. You must specify the Subject under the Field section. Optionally add other fields, e.g., Type.

Add a Quick Action

From a Salesforce Record (Lead/Contact)

  1. Navigate to the Lead or Contact profile page in Salesforce
  2. Find the Sequence Overview Module
  3. Click the + Create Action button
  4. Select the Action Type and configure the action details
  5. Set the Action Due date. This is when the action will resurface on Engage.
  6. Click Save

From the Participants Tab

If your Participant is enrolled in a Sequence, you can quickly search for them in Guided Selling.

  1. Navigate to the Participants tab in Guided Selling
  2. Search for your participant, or filter by company or Sequence
  3. Click the (Options) Icon
  4. Click the Quick Action option
  5. Select the Action Type and configure the action details
  6. Set the Action Due date. This is when the action will resurface on Engage.
  7. Click Save
