Enroll Your First Participant

Now that you have connected your email, It’s time to add your first Participant. Follow the instructions below to add a Lead or Contact to a Sequence and start seeing Actions for that individual.

Add a participant to a sequence

  1. Open a Lead or Contact record in Salesforce.
  2. In the record, find the Participant Overview module.

Use the Participant Overview module to add a participant to a sequence.

  1. Next to the sequence you want, click Associate.
  2. In the confirmation prompt, click Yes, associate!.

After confirmation, the record is enrolled as a participant in that sequence.

Before you enroll

The sequence must be active, the record must match the sequence entrance criteria, and the record cannot already be in another active sequence.

If a participant does not meet the entrance criteria, you see that sequence under Ineligible Sequences, and the Associate button is disabled.

Automatic Sequences

If a sequence does not appear when you try to associate a record, it may use automatic enrollment. In that case, the system enrolls participants when they satisfy entrance criteria and do not satisfy exit criteria, and you cannot add them manually. Open the Sequences tab, select the sequence, and review its entrance criteria on the detail page.
